Public bug reported: Recently installed and fully updated Ubuntu 24.04
I have to switch my monitor/keyboard/mouse between two computers. Every time when I let the screen lock time-out elapse, my desktop session crashes and I have to log on again (but the system keeps running). As long as the screen is not locked, I can switch back to the running session normally. I do not know whether my user session crashes on screen lock or on switching the monitor back to this computer. I use an nVidia GeForce RTX 4070 video card connected through DisplayPort to an LG Ultrawide 40" monitor. The display server is X11. It may or may not be relevant to this problem that quite often after the monitor is re-awakened from sleep, some interface/window icons are replaced with blank grey colour (i.e. minimise/maximise icons on window bars, folder icons in Files, &c. The application window contents seem to be intact, but entire windows (I mostly see this with FireFox) often take a long time to be drawn, sometimes not until I hover the mouse pointer over them. ** Affects: gnome-online-accounts (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2076752 Title: Gnome session crashes if monitor is disconnected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-online-accounts/+bug/2076752/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
