I found the source of the problem. It was mainly memory corruption
caused by improper calculation of malloc() size. I've created a patch,
which I will attach. The patch is made specifically for 0.7 though. I'm
hoping that the Ubuntu team could look into the matter and package this
for Hardy. For those interested in the meantime, I've also created a deb
which I will attach shortly.
