Hi Chris I have tried downloading the kernel and installing it. I encountered some errors when installing the cloud tools, but was able to fix it afterwards.
I tried booting up on .38 but I still have the same error. (no sound on hdmi using dell dock usbc) However I'm not 100% sure it's the right kernel (your-kernel) I'm booting into. I think it's might be the (old) .38 Ubuntu kernel. due to i have not uninstalled it.
