Public bug reported: Ubuntu Version: 24.04 LTS cyrus-imapd: 3.8.2-1
After installing cyrus-imapd 3.8.2 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, server side searches using "UID search" are rejected by the server. This breaks server side searches from Thunderbird and immediately breaks access using e.g. roundcube webmailer, since roundcube does a "UID SEARCH RECENT" for the INBOX after login. Enabling server side protocol logging shows that a valid UID SEARCH command is rejected by the server: <1721390374<A0006 UID SEARCH ALL >1721390374>A0006 BAD Missing required argument to Uid <1721390376<A0006 UID SEARCH RECENT >1721390376>A0006 BAD Missing required argument to Uid I have not yet verified, if this issue is also present in the Debian package. It is NOT present in the FreeBSD port (which, however has cyrus imapd 3.8.3). ** Affects: cyrus-imapd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2073600 Title: cyrus imapd 3.8.2 uid search broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cyrus-imapd/+bug/2073600/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
