I investigated all sorts of possible combinations

fakechroot fakeroot chroot
fakeroot chroot
fakechroot chroot
chroot
And it only crashed in the fakechroot case, I cannot confirm any crashes
with just chroot; I did do the whole verification inside a container
emulated by qemu-user-static.

I did manage to make fakechroot crash on amd64 as well:

jak@jak-t14-g3:~/.cache/sbuild$ fakechroot fakeroot chroot /tmp/noble-amd64
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
$ fakechroot  chroot /tmp/noble-amd64
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

But that is strictly a fakechroot crash:

$ sudo fakechroot  chroot /tmp/noble-amd64
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
$ sudo  chroot /tmp/noble-amd64
root@jak-t14-g3:/#
