Yes, alas. I just tried to switch back to nv and visit digg.com. Scrolling this page up and down with "Page Up" a and "Page Down" keys results in very sluggish redrawing of content. Maybye it's because the rendering of pages like that with Gecko 1.8 is so resources demanding that the open driver it's just not enought. But I can still use nvidia driver, so this issue isn't so critical, only annoying.
