Public bug reported: Kernel updates on Apr 8 '24 started the issue of keyboard not working after sleep/suspend. Kernel 5.15.0-97 works, other kernels after 97 need grub modified to make them work. Changed: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i8042.dumbkbd=1 i8042.nomux=1 i8042.noaux=1"
Only negative side effect of the i8042.dumbkbd entry is that the caps- lock light does not work. Otherwise on suspend and wake the keyboard works. I even tried the 6.6.0-26 kernel with same issue. version.log: Ubuntu 5.15.0-105.115-generic 5.15.148 alan: ~ $ lsb_release -rd Description: Linux Mint 21.3 Release: 21.3 ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "output of lspci -vnvn" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2062576/+attachment/5768322/+files/lspci-vnvn.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2062576 Title: Keyboard stops working after suspend 5.15.0-105 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2062576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
