Public bug reported:

Upgrading packages in noble after the latest ruby transition, I get the
following output for every apt run:

/usr/bin/how-can-i-help:121:in `<main>': undefined method `exists?' for
Dir:Class (NoMethodError)

unless Dir.exists?(HOME)
          ^^^^^^^^
Did you mean? exist?

** Affects: how-can-i-help (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
