piccolino81, I don't believe your startup problems are caused by this bug, which appears to be fixed, as "hdparm -f" does not cause the init script to fail anymore. I guess that you see the same error on tty1, regardless of if the bootup succeeds or not. If that's the case, you should file a new bug about your boot problem. I'm marking this Fix Released, please re-open it, if you think this is wrong. Thanks.
