Public bug reported: I do get sometimes after the upgrade to Hardy a blank topscreen.
I start gnome and execure via a session... xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1280x800 --pos 0x1024 ...in order to get my dual screen working (external screen op top of my laptop screen) Now I dont know when this happens but not often the top screen blanks out and I have to blindly drag windows down in order to use them again. By re-running the xrandr command nothing is changed. (I even think... I will check now ... that restarting x --> crtl-alt- backspace solves the problem) After a clean reboot things are back to normal ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [hardy] xrandr suddently a blank top screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179881 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
