It is extremely unlikely this has anything to do with Calamares or
Lubuntu, but probably some graphics issues with your machine.
Unfortunately, without more information about your system (you could use
`apport-collect 2059854` to add this important information to this
report; in the future, if you use `ubuntu-bug` to file your reports
while booted into the machine, it will do all this automatically), I
can't really help diagnose this.
What I would suggest: use the "Lubuntu (Safe Graphics)" option at the
GRUB boot menu. I bet it will work fine. Just make sure you install
proprietary drivers because I bet that's where your issue lies.
