Thanks for the update Ian.  I'm going to close this report for now since
you suspect this is due to an error in your configuration.  But just to
answer your questions. . . the modules which are loaded for your kernel
can be found in /lib/modules/`uname -r`.  You'll obviously have to
navigate around a bit more to locate the specific module you want.
