Public bug reported:

Hello, hello,

CASPER(7) manual page for ip options states:

ip=IFACE,ADDRESS,NETMASK,GATEWAY[:IFACE,ADDRESS,NETMASK,GATEWAY]*
              Let you specify the name(s) and the options of the interface(s)
that should be configured at boot time. Do not specify this if you
              want to use dhcp (default).

But this syntax is not supported by Ubuntu Installer (I did not test
this for generated live medium - sorry)

What is supported for ip option (from
klibc-2.0.10/usr/kinit/ipconfig/README.ipconfig)

<client-ip>:<server-ip>:<gw-
ip>:<netmask>:<hostname>:<device>:<autoconf>:<dns0-ip>:<dns1-ip>:<ntp0-ip>:...

For example for static IP config:

ip=100.64.100.100::100.64.0.1:255.255.0.0::enp1s0:static:100.64.255.254

Best regards
