Public bug reported: The package still includes a small number of ACPI events, each of which appear to be handled elsewhere. Specifically, each remaining event either:
(1) Is covered in an appropriate hid- kernel driver, e.g. hid-asus (2) Is covered in systemd's hwdb.d/60-keyboard.hwdb (3) Matches an event string that was generated by the old /proc/acpi/event interface, and is therefore obsolete. Because of this, we do not want to continue to support the package in Ubuntu, and it should be removed from the archive. $ reverse-depends -r jammy src:acpi-support Reverse-Recommends * kubuntu-desktop (for acpi-support) * lubuntu-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-budgie-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-desktop-minimal (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-mate-core (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-mate-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntu-unity-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntukylin-desktop (for acpi-support) * ubuntustudio-desktop (for acpi-support) * vanilla-gnome-desktop (for acpi-support) * xubuntu-core (for acpi-support) * xubuntu-desktop (for acpi-support) Reverse-Depends * powermanagement-interface (for acpi-support) Packages without architectures listed are reverse-dependencies in: amd64 $ reverse-depends -r jammy src:acpi-support -a source No reverse dependencies found ** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: powermanagement-interface (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: powermanagement-interface (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970464 Title: Please remove acpi-support from the archive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/1970464/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
