I have removed the restricted modules package, and installed NVIDIA from the 169.07 run package. So far so good - playing video with no issues. It was intermittent, so it may take a day or two before the issue shows up. If this works, it demonstrates that NVIDIA have already fixed the issue: >From their release notes - "Fixed a bug that caused corruption with redirected >XV on GPUs without TurboCache support."
