to this issue.

The reporters of https://github.com/lima-vm/lima/issues/712 say that the
kernel doesn't boot at all after seeing the "EFI stub: ERROR: FIRMWARE
BUG: kernel image not aligned on 64k boundary" lines.

They are using M1 macOS version of QEMU (https://gitlab.com/qemu-
project/qemu/-/issues/899).
