Fwiw, there is some discussion in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=956086 which seems to be a Debian bug report talking about the same issue. Based on the discussion (and other mentioned reports) it looks like the main question is how to handle the chromium-embedded-framework in order to get the browser plugin working.
