The two programs are completely broken for me at this time. I use them on a daily basis, so this is a real problem for me. There may be additional broken programs that I have yet to encounter, but I have not hit any others yet.
Given the behavior started suddenly yesterday after years of operation I suspect that an update to one of the dependencies of the library where the crash occurs is the cause. I am not a developer, and thus unable to track this down personally. Given my suspicions I attached a zip containing the update logs in hopes someone with the proper tools can identify the problem. I should be able to back out the particular change once it is identified.
