Public bug reported:

I was using a system on an USB disk and I noticed that changes were
being written to the disk while setting the -snapshot option and never
issuing the keyboard shortcut to write the changes.

The command line used was:

sudo qemu-system-x86_64 -m 2G -cpu host -accel kvm -device qxl-
vga,xres=1024,yres=600 -device qemu-xhci -device usb-
host,vendorid=0x054c,id=sony -net none -boot menu=on -snapshot

Changes done on the USB disk were being written to it, which was
unexpected, considering the -snapshot option was set.

Is this related to using -device usb-host instead of -hda? If yes, is
there a way to enable -snapshot behavior while using -device usb-host?
