This is very annoying because 'finch' (the text-based version of pidgin) 
displays this message every time a sound is played.  This messes up the display.
So I either have to turn the sounds off, and constantly switch over to the IM 
console to see if anyone messaged me, or put up with a scrambled display.

Installing jackd doesn't exactly fix my issue either.
Now I get: JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm]
