This is very annoying because 'finch' (the text-based version of pidgin) displays this message every time a sound is played. This messes up the display. So I either have to turn the sounds off, and constantly switch over to the IM console to see if anyone messaged me, or put up with a scrambled display.
Installing jackd doesn't exactly fix my issue either. Now I get: JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm] -- Applications Consistently output "sh: jackd: command not found" when playing sounds with gstreamer. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154028 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
