Not sure if it's the same issue, but a fresh load of the preinstalled Jammy image on Raspberry Pi 4 goes through most of initial setup, but then goes to a blank screen. Subsequent reboots and restarts of gdm3 lead to a console screen with a blinking cursor instead of the login screen. Manually starting a GNOME session from the console works.
