I build the kernel like this: (Arch Linux) zcat /proc/config.gz > .config make olddefconfig ./scripts/config --enable CONFIG_SND_HDA_SCODEC_CS35L41_I2C ./scripts/config --enable CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI_INSTANTIATE make -j16 all
