Chris, it would make everyone's life easier if you bothered to read and understand the bug report before answering it.
I didn't say that calamares created installation images or videos. I said that creating installation images or videos are applications that break the idea of having a tmpfs on /tmp. However, I've reported that bug upstream where they explained that calamares has this behaviour since 2014 for no particular reason, just because it has been like this since 2014, and it does this only after detecting an SSD as a installation medium. The upstream maintainers will take care of the issue. No need to wonder about video production. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1888526 Title: (L)ubuntu breaks functionality by tmpfs for /tmp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/calamares/+bug/1888526/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
