From personal experience, coincidentally, it happened to me that Ubuntu Mate started without customizing the screens and only original GNOME was displayed. In that case the bluetooth had no problems, the version I was using is the MATE 20.04.3, with updates. I'm not using Impish at the moment but maybe this situation could be similar for this version too. Bye!
