Sorry, I failed to notice in bug 1940781 that kernel 5.11 is affected.
The next step would be to try the latest "drm-tip" kernel from the
kernel graphics developers. To do that please:

1. Disable Secure Boot in your BIOS.

2. Download:

  https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-
tip/current/amd64/linux-image-
unsigned-5.14.0-051400rc7drmtip20210824-generic_5.14.0-051400rc7drmtip20210824.202108240213_amd64.deb

  https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-
tip/current/amd64/linux-
modules-5.14.0-051400rc7drmtip20210824-generic_5.14.0-051400rc7drmtip20210824.202108240213_amd64.deb

3. Install them together:

   sudo dpkg -i linux*.deb

4. Reboot.

5. Verify the new kernel is active:

   uname -a
