>Is it possible to add to this list a package that isn't in the Ubuntu repositories e.g. Brave Browser?
No. The Ubuntu project will never support or depend on third party packages. If you want to use Ubuntu in a way that is supported and install updates and upgrades without issues then you will have abide by the default dependencies that have been set. Most users will have many packages/applications installed by default that they never use. The screen dump that you provided in the bug description shows that the cinnamon-desktop-environment meta-package will be uninstalled by removing firefox, not the entire Cinnamon desktop. By all means remove firefox and that metapackage but you won't be in a position to report bugs and issues if a future update or upgrade relating to the Cinnamon desktop doesn't work as expected. Best to do nothing. Just install and use your web-browser of choice. You're not reporting a bug so I'm closing this as "Invalid". ** Changed in: cinnamon-desktop-environment (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1931698 Title: Can't uninstall firefox.
