Hi @Chris_Guiver I haven't had any problems with pcmanfm in subsequent versions of any ubuntu-flavour used. (flavours used: ubuntu-studio , lubuntu, ubuntu-mate, bodhi )
Just tested it with Ubuntu-Mate 20.04 LTS: No Problem.
