The following errors can be found in UbiquitySyslog.txt which was automatically attached to this bug report: May 22 10:58:20 ubuntu kernel: [ 43.867064] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt May 22 10:58:20 ubuntu kernel: [ 43.867067] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x6b48d02f May 22 10:58:21 ubuntu kernel: [ 44.214466] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt May 22 10:58:21 ubuntu kernel: [ 44.214469] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x6b48d02f It's possible you had a bad write to your media or for some other reason its contents could not be read. When having such problems should try the option to check the integrity of the image from the installer boot menu, and if this confirms that the media is corrupt, try re-writing it. I'm closing this bug due to the time that has elapsed since you raised it. I hope you were eventually successful installing Ubuntu. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1830021 Title: Boot crash during installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1830021/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
