Lubuntu impish daily boot on (written with mkusb/dus CLONE mode) - motion computing j3400 (c2d-u9400, 4gb, intel mobile 4 series) stop watch started at grub/lubuntu @ 6 mins 34 secs first boot message appeared, only blinking cursor top left till this point @ 7 mins 04 secs lubuntu's blue plymouth screen appeared @ 7: mins 56 secs screen black & back to boot messages (but smaller fonts; non-bios fonts) @ 8 mins 23 secs black screen & Xorg/gui mouse cursor appears @ 8 mins 54 secs desktop is usable
(~2 mins 53 sec comparison for usable desktop today on `lenovo thinkpad x201 (i5-m520, 4gb, i915)` ((or 3 mins 30 secs for `hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)` taken from duplicate report so different daily)) lubuntu daily boots faster than Ubuntu (refer duplicates 1929029[ubuntu] or 1928939[lubuntu]) ) I've not followed all of ^, so if my performing some tests would be helpful, please let me know.
