When I last put the computer into suspend, I used the menu point entry 'Suspend' in the top right menu (I use gnome-flashback). In this case, wake up by keypress worked correctly, so probably you found the root of the problem with the fn+f1-key.
I then produced the logs you asked for: 'dmesg > dmesg-before.log' and 'lsmod > lsmod.log' Finally I ran showkey, the output is below. But pressing fn+f1 while in showkey immediately led to a suspend, from which two keypresses were necessary to get to normal operation. Afterwards the following was the content of the terminal: juergen@regulus:~$ sudo showkey kb mode was ?UNKNOWN? [ if you are trying this under X, it might not work since the X server is also reading /dev/console ] press any key (program terminates 10s after last keypress)... keycode 28 release keycode 142 press keycode 142 release I then made a 'dmesg > dmesg-after.log' to enable comparison of normal awake (dmesg-before.log) and awake with two keypresses (dmesg- after.log). ** Attachment added: "dmesg-after.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1930110/+attachment/5501925/+files/dmesg-after.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1930110 Title: Wake-up after suspend only on second keypress To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1930110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
