Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rocklight
Rocklight seems to only run as root. The plugin appears in xmms, but doesn't do anything when activated. According to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=475930 others have seen this problem. I couldn't test rocklight runing as root easily, as xmms won't play when run with "sudo xmms", but the stroboscope program bundled with rocklight runs with "sudo strobelight", but dies with the error "can't open thinklight: -1" when run with user privileges.
