Public bug reported: It seems when running the installer for servers on 20.04.1 and 20.04.2 there is now an integrity check that is mandatory.
I sometimes need to install a server over IPMI and when I do that I get hit by at least 30 minutes of integrity check for the installer. I believe this can be skipped in the Desktop installer after it has started but that option is missing for the server setup. This needs to be remedied. There is a parameter you can add if you remember to do that in grub before starting. But I would like not to have to google that parameter each time I occasionally have to install in this manner and I believe I am not alone in this. Can we please have an option to skip after the test starts. This is a pretty simple fix as it is already available in the desktop installer. I see there is a discussion about this in discord when it was added for the Desktop and there everyone wanted to have the option to stop it after it started. ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1929935 Title: Impossible to stop and skip integrity test for ubuntu-server 20.04.2 iso after it has started To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1929935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
