Hi, Sorry to only report on this, but the machine was at another location. Before trying the:
do-release-upgrade -p I updated the system with the latest updates (had not been updated since the time I reported the problem) and tried to run the normal: do-release-upgrade Something was changed by the recent updates, because it is running the upgrade now. Maybe the new version of the "do-release-upgrade" package solved it. If you need any info from this system, please let me know.
