this issue is inconsistent. I've booted today's focal daily on - lenovo thinkpad x201 (i5, 4gb, i915)
and had it NOT OCCUR then on a subsequent boot I'm without icon pictures (look like shadows) on the desktop (for mounted drives) & menu items are square boxes & CTRL+ALT+T doesn't work. `xfsettingsd --replace` will fix it (as always) @Sai/saivinob; you didn't say which daily image you tried.. hirsute or focal..
