Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
The installer `ubiquity` is in the process of being replaced; refer https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/refreshing-the-ubuntu-desktop- installer/20659 Given this fact, adding new features to a deprecated, or soon to be deprecated product makes little sense, so it maybe worthwhile instead to suggest it as a feature for the replacement of `ubiquity`. FYI: Lubuntu (since 18.10) & Ubuntu Studio (since 20.10) have used the `calamares` installer and offer what you're asking for by default (it's created issues though too, as an encrypted boot means chosen keyboard settings (non-qwerty) may not be available until after you've entered your encryption key.. so there are costs to it too for some users). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1926563 Title: Include an option to encrypt /boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1926563/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
