Public bug reported: Expected behaviour:
When running Ubuntu 21.04 on desktop hardware any active USB audio devices should not be suspended while playing/recording audio. Actual behaviour: When running Ubuntu 21.04 on desktop hardware active USB audio devices that are playing/recording audio are suspended after a few seconds. This upstream bug appears relevant and seems to lay the blame elsewhere, perhaps the kernel. * https://github.com/linrunner/TLP/issues/545 ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: tlp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Assignee: Martin Wimpress (flexiondotorg) Status: Fix Committed ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Wimpress (flexiondotorg) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923737 Title: TLP aggressively suspends active USB audio devices when on AC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1923737/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
