Thanks for your prompt response!
Following is the output for the command : do-release-upgrade -p on Ubuntu 20.04

Checking for a new Ubuntu release
There is no development version of an LTS available.
To upgrade to the latest non-LTS development release
set Prompt=normal in /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades.

Note:
After, Reporting the mentioned problem,I uninstalled 3rd party software and
again tried. It prompted me to continue with partial upgrade.
After partial upgration the system wasn't functioning well. So i ran the
following command:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

But it ran into new problem - https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1922351 (still
facing)
The system is working well but slow.
