Public bug reported:

Release Ubuntu 20-10
Package: xfig 1:3.2.7b-2

1) Command line in a terminal: xfig generates error messages in the
terminal:

locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_MESSays AGES to default locale: No such file or
directory
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory
Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged

2) The xfig windows opens normally

3) If I need a character string it is displayed always in size 12 in the
window, whatever the choosen fontsize. However the text is correctly
exported to ps and pdf.

Expected results:
display should be the same as .ps or .pdf exported file.

N.B. This problem didn’t occur with older versions of xfig and ubuntu

** Affects: xfig (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
