As I posted some months before, I had the same problem with Feisty + Compiz Fusion. (ATI X300 Mobility Radeon), i86, acer aspire 1652LMi I have recently updated to Gutsy with ATI propietary drivers (but not the newest ones: the ones in restricted repository). I've been using intesinvely my computer for a month and everything is working perfectly, no more freezes. The only different in the configuration of my PC is that I have just 2 Desktops with the cube instead of 4. It's not as amazing showing a wall as showing a cube, but I don't need more. I'll try to set 4 up and check what's going on.
