Public bug reported:

I'm not sure if it's up to Hexchat or up to xfce4-panel, however, the
icon is not shown in the panel. All other icons are displayed. I think
it broke after upgrading to Xfce 4.16. I've tried to revert the upgrade
but the icon is gone for good it seems.
