Installed the 2.6.24-1 kernel and I don't see the DMA errors anymore. I'll keep it running for a day to see how it goes.
(Have to revert back after that because I rely on the nvidia kernel module for dual head display. Just tried to build the kernel module with this new kernel version but get error when I try to load the module). Thanks for the update, this progress is really promising for the next Ubuntu release.
