Since this is a system I use for day to day stuff I can't really put on
Hardy without disrupting the pre-existing OS's.  Sadly my motherboard
was made before booting off of USB devices was a common feature.  I can
wait 8 days for Alpha 2 to hit the streets and try that out.

Alternatively I have no problem with dropping the Hardy kernel into my
Gutsy install and just booting off that for some tests.  I've done
similar things with my Debian box and far worse at work.  It shouldn't
really matter what kernel is running under the hood, however if you
think this isn't a worthwhile test I'll just hold out for the Alpha 2
Live CD.
