Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
The using Ubuntu 20.04 with the latest Steam package the indicator shows
correctly.
Can you check the issue still occurs on a recent version of Ubuntu?
I will mark this bug as incomplete as it is for an EOL release and I
cannot reproduce.
