To fix the fallout: First, ensure you are running the latest kernel and
all your other packages are up-to-date; Then in "Software & Updates" >
"Additional Drivers" change to the Nouveau driver (which seemed to
uninstall all the Nvidia packages); Finally run `sudo -i ubuntu-drivers
autoinstall` which should select the correct Nvidia driver.
