I have the same problem (minus the external displays). I am running
Ubuntu 20.04, kernel version 5.4.0-58-generic. On resume from suspend,
the kernel spews out the following messages:

than 5secs aborting

kernel: [drm:si_dpm_enable [radeon]] *ERROR* si_init_smc_table failed
kernel: [drm:radeon_pm_resume [radeon]] *ERROR* radeon: dpm resume failed
