Public bug reported: This bug is the same as described here for another Ubuntu-Server- version: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1209145/unable-to-boot-to- desktop-after-installing-ubuntu-19-10-1-on-raspberry-pi-4-and
I could confirm this bug using Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB and ubuntu-20.04.1 -preinstalled-server-arm64+raspi.img - Installing Ubuntu server works fine. I did updates etc. - Then I could run (without errors): sudo apt install lubuntu-desktop - After sudo reboot, I couldn't get to the login-screen (a more detailed description is given in above link) - Installing other desktops like ubuntu-desktop didn't change anything This happened two weeks ago. I gave up at this point and used Ubuntu- Desktop-image instead, but I think this bug should be fixed. ** Affects: linux-raspi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: login-screen lubuntu-desktop ubuntu-server -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1909760 Title: Ubuntu Server 20.04 64 bit on Raspberry Pi 4 - unable to use installed desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-raspi/+bug/1909760/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
