Hi Cory, Thank you for your report and helping to make Ubuntu better. First, your devices appear as /dev/sd* rather than /dev/hd* because the kernel is now using the libata subsystem which makes your devices appear with the /dev/sd* syntax. Also, the following wiki will be helpful in answering your /etc/fstab UUID questions:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingUUID It seems you may have edited your /etc/fstab at some point to where it was considered non-standard and so was not updated automatically. Hope that helps. Thanks. ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- 7.10-server-x86's kernel (2.6.22-14-server) deos not have /dev/hd* https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157227 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
