I have the same kind of problem with this cpu (see bugreport

Now, how can I disable the cpufreq module loading at startup?
By manually doing this:
sudo cpufreq-set -g performance #sets max cpu speed correctly
sudo modprobe -r powernow_k8
I permanently get the max cpu speed, as I (often) need. Note that the first
step works because generally the max frequency reported by cpufreq-info is
correct just after pc startup.
