@burritojohn, if you are seeing this on an Asus device then you are hit by a different variant of what is in essence the same bug.
The Asus case is fixed by this upstream commit: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=1797d588af15174d4a4e7159dac8c800538e4f8c Which has also been cherry-picked into the 5.8.y stable series (it is there since the v5.8.15 release).
