I'm surprised to know that with pin's direction set to "out", no new "no data" message shows when putting the touchpad aside. Can you share the interrupt counter for me when you don't use the touchpad? For my laptop, the number of interrupts will keep increasing rapidly after setting the pin's direction to "out".
